PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR

For many years the use of outdoor sports glasses has been seen as somewhat unnecessary by many people... for 2 reasons.

1. Those people needing to wear prescription lenses assumed that their situation couldn't be accommodated.
2. Most people assume that eye injuries (and most other type of accidents) will never happen to them!!
This was exactly the view taken by Tim Pretty who was clearing his sons jammed shotgun when... please see photo.

Fortunately for Tim (and his family) the exhaust gasses did not strike the retinal area of his eye directly and he got away with an extremely lucky escape.

Needless to say Tim and his shooting son Jack, were wearing out shooting glasses on a regular basis from then on.
